Manali a finest tourist destination in Kullu district of  Himachal Pradesh is situated at an altitude of 2050 m; it attracts the tourists throughout the year by its  scenic beauty and snow - covered mountains.  Manali is named after the  Sanatan Hindu lawgiver  Manu. The name Manali is  regarded as the derivative of  ‘Manu - Alaya’ which literally means  ‘the abode of Manu’. We are also having some more places related to Hindu Religion. The Vashishtha Temple is 4000 – year - old and famous temple of Guru Vashishtha. Inside it,  there is a black stone statue of the Rishi Vashishtha, clad in dhoti, cap & a white shawl on the shoulder. The temple is also famous for its hot Sulphur springs.   Hidimba Devi temple; this ancient cave temple  possesses  an imposing structure.  Built by Maharaja Bahadur Singh in 1553 with a superbly crafted four-tiered pagoda roof. Manali lies in the North of Kullu Valley. The valley is often referred to as the ‘Valley of the Gods’. Solang Valley 13 km away from Manali, on the way to Rohtang is situated at 2560 m. Solang Valley lies between Solang village and Beas Kund. Offering stunning views of the snow-capped mountain  peaks and alluring glaciers. The Solang valley is popular for its fine ski slopes which makes it a perfect skiing destination of  Himachal  Pradesh. During summers, Solang Valley  turns into best paragliding, Zorbing and  horse  riding destination of Himachal Pradesh.  Manali  is  also  surrounded  with  many  other beautiful waterfalls and tracking areas.
